Pakistan, Sept. 23 -- Pakistan's security forces have reportedly foiled an attempted infiltration from the Kurram sector, according to security sources. The sources said the operation involved militants allegedly operating under the Afghan Taliban.

According to the sources, the infiltration attempt was launched from Afghan posts in Nangarhar and Paktia provinces. Pakistani forces responded after the attempt was detected and stopped near the border. The sources said the operation prevented the militants from entering Pakistani territory.
