Pakistan, April 24 -- The total liquid foreign reserves of Pakistan stood at US$ 20,628.5 million as of April 17, 2026 while the reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan rose to $ 15,097.6 million.

"During the week ended on 17 April 2026, SBP's FX reserves increased by US$ 18 million to US$ 15,097.6 million," the central bank reported on Thursday in its weekly statement on the position of liquid foreign reserves.

Meanwhile, the foreign reserves held by the commercial banks also grew by $ 86 million to $ 5,530.9 million during the period under review, the break-up of forex reserves depicted. Pakistan's total liquid foreign reserves in the previous week ended on April 10, 2026 were $ 20,524.5 million.
