Pakistan, June 1 -- Pakistan's inflation rate rose to its highest level in nearly two years during May 2026, reflecting growing price pressures across the economy and raising concerns ahead of the new fiscal year.

According to the latest monthly report released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, inflation increased by 0.52 per cent on a month-on-month basis in May compared to April. The report noted that the latest reading marked the highest inflation level recorded since June 2024.
