Pakistan, Aug. 10 -- Pakistan recorded 3,172 new violence cases between January and June 2026, highlighting continuing security and social concerns despite ongoing court convictions. The reported cases included 644 killings and 462 kidnapping incidents, showing the wide range of violence affecting communities.
Gender-based violence accounted for a significant share of the reported cases, raising concerns about the safety of women and other vulnerable groups. The figures also indicate that legal proceedings and convictions have not been enough to prevent new violent incidents across the country.
