Pakistan, Sept. 2 -- Pakistan has rejected any suggestion that the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding has become ineffective or irrelevant. Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Hussain Andrabi said the peace framework remains in place. He also expressed hope that both sides will eventually return to negotiations.
Speaking at the weekly briefing, Andrabi said the US-Iran conflict had involved attacks and retaliatory actions. Pakistan, he added, continues to closely monitor developments surrounding the escalating tensions. He described the current situation as concerning and undesirable for the region.
