Pakistan, June 12 -- Pakistan recorded its second warmest year on record in 2025, with the national annual mean temperature reaching 23.9degC, which was 1.09degC above the long-term average, according to the Economic Survey 2025-26. The survey stated that 2025 ranked as the second warmest year during the past 65 years. Temperature anomalies were particularly pronounced in northern regions, with Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa recording their highest annual temperatures in 65 years.
