Islamabad, June 29 -- Pakistan has summoned Afghanistan's charge d'affaires and lodged a formal protest over the Karachi terrorist attack. The Foreign Office said investigations found Afghan nationals were involved in the assault, prompting diplomatic action against the Afghan Taliban authorities. The move comes as Pakistan intensifies efforts to address cross-border terrorism.
Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Andrabi said the Afghan charge d'affaires was called to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday night.
