Pakistan, May 8 -- Pakistan has completed planning for a 500-megawatt floating solar power project at Kenjhar Lake in Sindh. The project is aimed at increasing renewable energy generation and reducing dependence on imported fossil fuels. Officials said the initiative marks a significant step toward expanding clean energy infrastructure in the country.
The project is expected to cost around 243 million dollars and will be developed under an engineering, procurement, and construction model. Authorities plan to execute it through a competitive bidding process. The approach is intended to ensure transparency and efficiency in project implementation.
