Pakistan, Aug. 30 -- Pakistan is a country of enormous geographical, cultural, and demographic diversity. From the mountains of Gilgit-Baltistan to the coastal communities of Sindh, and from the plains of Punjab to the rugged landscapes of Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the needs and challenges of different regions often vary widely. Yet, our administrative structure has remained largely unchanged despite significant population growth and changing socioeconomic realities. It is therefore time for Pakistan to seriously consider the creation of additional provinces not as a means of dividing the country, but as a way of bringing government closer to the people, improving administration, and ensuring more balanced development.
