Pakistan, April 8 -- Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif has invited delegations from Iran and the United States (US) to Islamabad for talks aimed at resolving ongoing tensions, following a reported agreement on an immediate ceasefire.

In a statement shared on social media, the premier expressed satisfaction over what he described as a "wise and positive development," announcing that both Iran and the United States, along with their allies, had agreed to a ceasefire across all areas of conflict, including Lebanon and other regions. He said the ceasefire would take effect immediately.
