Pakistan, Aug. 21 -- Gold prices in Pakistan rose for the second consecutive day on Friday, with one tola gaining Rs5,200 to Rs477,136.

According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association, 10 grams of gold rose Rs4,458 to Rs409,067.

The latest increase followed a Rs13,700 jump on Thursday. Gold had closed at Rs471,936 per tola after falling Rs3,700 on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, international gold prices rose $52 on Friday to $4,547 per ounce. The global price had gained $137 on Thursday.

Domestic gold prices have remained volatile throughout the week. The price fell from Rs461,936 on Tuesday to Rs458,236 on Wednesday before recovering sharply.

The latest rally reflects continued movements in international bullion prices. L...
