Pakistan, July 15 -- Oil marketing companies have warned the government of a potential petrol supply crisis in Pakistan, citing customs clearance delays and financial constraints that threaten the country's fuel supply chain. The Oil Companies Advisory Council (OCAC) issued a red alert to the Ministry of Energy, urging immediate intervention. It warned that existing petroleum stocks are sufficient for only 15 days if supply disruptions continue.
In an emergency letter, the OCAC said Pakistan currently has around 370,000 tonnes of petroleum products in storage.
