Pakistan, July 31 -- Pakistan began their four-match hockey Test series against South Korea on a winning note, defeating the visitors 3-1 in the opening Test at the Islamabad Sports Complex.

Pakistan dominated proceedings with an attacking display and kept the South Korean defence under constant pressure. Sufyan emerged as the star for the hosts, scoring two goals, while captain Abu Bakar Mahmood also found the net to complete Pakistan's 3-1 victory.

South Korea managed to score just one goal during the match, as Pakistan's defence held firm to preserve their two-goal advantage and secure a confident start to the series.
