Pakistan, April 24 -- Shehbaz Sharif has directed officials to accelerate high-level diplomatic engagement as regional tensions continue to evolve around ongoing Iran-US negotiations. The prime minister emphasised sustained consultations and proactive diplomacy after reports confirmed that an Iranian delegation may arrive in Pakistan for further talks with the United States.
Meanwhile, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar briefed the prime minister following his telephonic discussion with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi. During the call, both sides exchanged views on regional developments, ceasefire-related matters, and preparations for the second round of diplomatic engagement in Islamabad.
