Pakistan, Sept. 23 -- Pakistan registered their second consecutive victory in the men's hockey tournament at the 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026, defeating Uzbekistan 5-1 in their Pool B encounter at the Gifu Prefectural Green Stadium. After a goalless opening quarter, Pakistan took the lead in the 18th minute when Mohammad Ammad produced a fine field goal to make it 1-0. Uzbekistan hit back just before half-time, with Shokhrukhbek Salimjonov converting a penalty corner in the 30th minute to level the score at 1-1. Pakistan responded strongly after the interval and regained the lead in the 33rd minute through Sufyan Khan, who successfully converted a penalty corner. The goal was his third of the tournament in two matches.
