Pakistan, Aug. 18 -- Pakistan has approved the import of one million tonnes of wheat after strategic reserves held by PASSCO nearly ran out. The decision comes as federal and provincial governments struggled to secure sufficient wheat supplies. The Pakistan Agricultural Storage and Services Corporation holds strategic stocks for national food security. Officials said those reserves are now almost completely depleted.
