Pakistan, Oct. 12 -- The federal government has decided to provide immediate development funds to 12 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The decision aims to promote sustainable peace, improve public services and accelerate development. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi chaired a meeting of the Regional Development Secretariat to discuss the measures.

The meeting was attended by the Peshawar corps commander, additional chief secretary, secretariat members and senior civil and military officials. Participants reviewed security conditions, development needs and public concerns across the selected districts. The discussions covered merged districts as well as Bannu, Lakki Marwat, Tank and Dera Ismail Khan.
