Pakistan, Oct. 8 -- Pakistan has accused India of supporting militant groups through proxies in Afghanistan. Islamabad raised the allegations at the United Nations during a right-of-reply statement.

Muhammad Jawad Ajmal, a counsellor at Pakistan's UN mission, responded to remarks by India's representative. He alleged that India was providing material and logistical support to Afghanistan's Taliban government. According to Ajmal, this support was being provided under the cover of humanitarian assistance. He claimed the assistance was helping facilitate attacks against Pakistan.
