Pakistan, Aug. 8 -- Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkiye on Friday signed the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement, committing to enhanced collective security, expanded defence cooperation and closer strategic coordination among the three countries.

The agreement was signed during the Makkah Al-Mukarramah Summit for Joint Defence, held at Al-Safa Palace.

The summit brought together Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, President of Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, who visited the Kingdom at the invitation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
