Pakistan, Sept. 23 -- Pakistan Army has commenced two joint military exercises with Russia and Oman to enhance counter-terrorism capabilities and interoperability, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Tuesday.

The 9th edition of the Pakistan-Russia Joint Exercise Druzhba-IX and the 2nd edition of the Pakistan-Oman Joint Exercise Washaq Al Jabal-II (Mountain Lynx-II) began at Cherat and the National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC), Pabbi, respectively.

According to the ISPR, the two-week exercises bring together contingents from the Pakistan Army, Russian Army and Royal Army of Oman.
