Pakistan, June 25 -- The Punjab Assembly on Wednesday approved a resolution paying tribute to Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for their diplomatic efforts during the US-Iran conflict and their role in promoting regional peace and stability.

The resolution was presented in the House by Punjab Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique, Member Provincial Assembly (PP-153).

Speaking on the occasion, Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique said the House expressed deep sorrow and regret over the martyrdom of innocent civilians, including women and children, as a result of the recent attacks and aggression in Iran.
