PESHAWAR, May 26 -- The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) police have approved a comprehensive security plan for Eidul Azha, under which more than 50,000 personnel will be deployed across the province to maintain law and order during the festive period.

The decision was taken during a high-level security review meeting chaired by KP Inspector General of Police Zulfiqar Hameed, who directed all regional and district police officers to remain on high alert in view of the prevailing security situation.
