Pakistan, Sept. 17 -- Authorities are preparing to repatriate more than 23,000 Afghan nationals currently living in Quetta. The individuals include Afghan refugees and other undocumented foreigners. Officials expect the repatriation process to continue as authorities review ongoing arrangements and preparations.

Quetta Division Commissioner Zeeshan Lashari chaired a meeting on Wednesday to review the repatriation process. The meeting examined progress made so far and discussed administrative measures. Officials also reviewed challenges affecting the ongoing operations and considered the next steps.
