Pakistan, Aug. 5 -- More than 100 people have died across India since July as torrential rains, flood, landslides and lightning continue to wreak havoc in several states, according to Indian media reports.

The northeastern state of Assam has been the worst affected, with 90 fatalities reported due to floods and rain-related incidents. In eastern Jharkhand, at least 14 people were killed after being struck by lightning, with most of the victims reported to be farm workers.
