Pakistan, Aug. 10 -- Global crude oil prices rose sharply Monday as uncertainty surrounding US-Iran talks and the Strait of Hormuz weighed on markets.

Brent crude gained 2.57 percent to reach $85.70 per barrel. US crude also increased 2.52 percent to $80.15 per barrel.
