Pakistan, Oct. 2 -- Noman Zaka exited the Asian Games wrestling competition after suffering two defeats in the men's freestyle 86kg event in Nagoya on Friday. He began strongly by defeating Cambodia's Vuthy Heng 10-4 before winning by fall to reach the quarter-finals. However, Japan's Hayato Ishiguro beat him 10-0 in the last eight.
Zaka then entered the repechage but suffered another 10-0 defeat against Kazakhstan's Azamat Dauletbekov. The Kazakh wrestler is a two-time world bronze medallist and three-time Asian champion. As a result, Zaka missed the chance to compete for a bronze medal.
