Pakistan, Feb. 25 -- The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has announced that the sighting of the Shawwal 1447 AH moon is highly unlikely on the evening of Thursday, March 19. According to astronomical analysis, the new moon is expected to be born at 06:23 PST on March 19. However, by the time of sunset, the moon's age will be between 12 and 13 hours across most meteorological observatories in the country. This duration is insufficient for the crescent to be visible to the naked eye.
