Pakistan, Aug. 12 -- Federal Health Minister Mustafa Kamal has called for creating new provinces, saying Pakistan's existing administrative system needs major reforms.
Addressing the Pakistan Pharma Healthcare Expo, Kamal questioned why political concerns arise over provinces while deaths from open drains receive less attention.

He said the federal government distributes Rs8,884 billion annually among provinces. However, he claimed funds do not effectively reach union councils.
Kamal said Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cover larger areas than several countries. He added that Sindh and Balochistan also have vast territories.
