Pakistan, Oct. 1 -- KPop Demon Hunters 2 will receive a major theatrical rollout, according to Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos. He confirmed that the animated sequel will receive a "very broad" global cinema release. The film is currently expected to arrive in 2029.

Sarandos revealed the plan while discussing Netflix's changing theatrical strategy at Bloomberg Screentime in Los Angeles on Wednesday. The announcement marks a major shift from the first KPop Demon Hunters film. The original movie premiered directly on Netflix without a traditional wide cinema release.
