Pakistan, Sept. 29 -- Power consumers may face another financial burden as authorities consider a Rs1.73 per unit increase. The proposed electricity price increase comes under the monthly fuel adjustment mechanism. NEPRA completed a hearing on the Central Power Purchasing 's request.
A meeting of the National Steering Committee for Fuel Subsidies also reviewed electricity-related matters. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar chaired the meeting. Officials discussed fuel subsidies and other issues linked to the power sector.
