Pakistan, Aug. 28 -- Nepal has rescued 117 foreign tourists after severe floods hit several areas, while authorities monitor further risks. The rescued tourists include 85 Indians, 16 Chinese, nine South Koreans, two Italians and two Americans. Nepal Police said the disaster's death toll reached 469 on Friday.
Authorities are closely watching two lakes located upstream from the worst-affected areas. One of the lakes began overflowing on Friday, raising concerns about additional flooding downstream. Officials are using satellite images to monitor the lakes, but updated imagery remains limited.
