Pakistan, Sept. 1 -- Nepal's devastating floods have killed more than 1,000 people, while rescue teams continue operations across badly affected areas. Officials said the death toll reached 1,050 after the disaster caused widespread destruction. Meanwhile, around 4,000 people remain missing, including hundreds of foreign nationals. Rescue workers are using heavy machinery, helicopters and excavators to reach people trapped under debris. Authorities are facing major challenges because several remote areas remain difficult to access.
