Pakistan, May 26 -- Nearly eighteen lakh pilgrims from around the world have arrived in Mina as the first stage of Hajj rituals officially began. The massive gathering marks the start of one of the world's largest annual religious events. Moreover, pilgrims will spend the night in Mina before continuing the next important step of the pilgrimage.

On the 9th of Zil Hajj, pilgrims will leave Mina after Fajr prayers and travel toward Arafat for Wuquf-e-Arafat, the central pillar of Hajj.
