Pakistan, April 14 -- The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued a high alert for nationwide rain, windstorms, and hailstorms across Pakistan. The warning follows updated forecasts indicating a strong weather system expected to impact multiple regions. Authorities said the system poses risks to lives, crops, and infrastructure.
According to the National Emergencies Operation Centre, the weather system is expected to affect the country on April 17 and 18. Thundershowers and hailstorms are likely across Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, northern Balochistan, and northern areas. Heavy rainfall is also forecast in several northern tourist and mountainous regions.
