Investigators are reportedly focusing on their financial activities and suspected transactions during the relevant period. Authorities are also examining financial records from before and after Pakistan's England series.

Investigators are reviewing the bank accounts of both players to trace transactions made during the period under examination. The probe seeks to determine the sources of incoming funds and the recipients of outgoing payments. Any suspicious transfers involving companies, individuals or organisations will also come under scrutiny.
