Pakistan, Aug. 17 -- Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Sunday presided over a meeting that held a detailed discussion on the reserved seats for women in Azad Kashmir (AJK).
The participants appreciated the active and meaningful role of women in the Azad Kashmir elections, describing it as a welcome development that would help strengthen the democratic process.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, PML-N Azad Kashmir President Shah Ghulam Qadir, Rana Sanaullah and Anusha Rahman attended the meeting.
Meanwhile, the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Election Commission on Sunday announced the schedule for the election of reserved seats in the AJK Assembly, with polling scheduled for August 24.
