Pakistan, Sept. 10 -- The federal government has announced plans to hold discussions on the creation of new provinces in October. The debate will take place in both the National Assembly and Senate.
Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry made the announcement while speaking to the media. He said parliamentary sessions would not take place in September. However, both houses will meet during October.
The minister said the government would use the upcoming sessions to discuss proposals concerning new provinces. He described Parliament as the appropriate forum for debating the issue. He added that the matter should receive discussion within the parliamentary framework.
