Pakistan, Aug. 12 -- Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian in Tehran on Wednesday, discussing stronger bilateral ties, regional security and efforts to promote peace.
Naqvi conveyed important messages from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir regarding the regional situation. He also briefed Pezeshkian about the recent Pakistan-Saudi Arabia-Turkiye defence agreement.
Pezeshkian welcomed Pakistan's efforts to strengthen relations and said Tehran wanted broader cooperation with Islamabad across different sectors. He added that stronger ties could protect mutual interests and improve regional security.
