Pakistan, Aug. 14 -- NADRA has introduced a new QR code-based national identity card for Pakistanis on Independence Day. The card enables identity verification through ordinary smartphones.
The new card marks a step toward greater technological self-reliance in Pakistan's identity documentation system. Unlike existing chip-based cards, the new card does not contain a chip.

According to NADRA, citizens can verify the new card through the PakID mobile application. Users can scan the QR code to access and verify the cardholder's identity.
