Pakistan, June 30 -- Pakistan's Indus Waters Treaty remains a matter of national importance, Federal Minister for Climate Change Musadik Malik said, warning that Pakistan will not compromise on its share of water. Speaking at a joint press conference, he said anyone attempting to deprive Pakistan of its water would face a strong response.

Addressing the media alongside Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, Musadik Malik said Pakistan has repeatedly made it clear that it will protect its water rights. Referring to India's actions, he stated, "Whoever tries to take Pakistan's water, we will cut off their hand," emphasizing that Pakistan would firmly defend its interests.
