Pakistan, April 23 -- Israel's Mossad has confirmed that one of its senior operatives was killed in Italy during a covert intelligence mission linked to Iran. The also acknowledged that two Italian intelligence officers died in the same operation. The disclosure was made by Mossad director David Barnea during a national remembrance event.

Barnea paid tribute to the agent, identified only as "M.", and praised his role in the operation. He said the agent's work had a significant impact on Israel's recent campaign against Iran. The comments were made during Yom HaZikaron commemorations and reported by international media outlets.
