Pakistan, Aug. 21 -- Pakistan reaffirmed its commitment to combating terrorism while paying tribute to victims and survivors on Friday.

The Foreign Ministry said Pakistan joined countries worldwide in observing the International Day of Remembrance for terrorism victims.

MoFA said Pakistan had made significant sacrifices in its fight against terrorism. It reported more than 90,000 Pakistani deaths and economic losses exceeding $150 billion.

The ministry said terrorism had become increasingly complex through emerging technologies and cyberspace. It also highlighted concerns over disinformation and other forms of extremist activity.
