Pakistan, May 26 -- Mitchell Marsh injury concerns forced him out of Australia's ODI series against Pakistan, Cricket Australia confirmed on Tuesday. The Australian captain suffered an ankle injury during the IPL and will miss the upcoming three-match series. The setback affects Australia ahead of an important white-ball schedule in Asia.

Cricket Australia said Marsh also missed Indian Premier League action for Lucknow Super Giants because of the same injury. Officials added that Marsh would remain in Perth for treatment and further medical assessment. His availability for Australia's upcoming white-ball tour of Bangladesh will be decided later.
