Pakistan, Aug. 17 -- Thousands of Pakistanis gathered in Mississauga, Canada, to celebrate Pakistan's Independence Day at a major cultural festival. Organisers said the event created a new record for participation. The festival was held with the cooperation of Geo News and Geo Entertainment. Canadian federal and provincial officials also attended the celebrations.
