Pakistan, Sept. 29 -- The tenure of the one-member judicial commission probing the death of young businessman Mir Raza Ali has been extended until October 15, as the panel continues examining alleged lapses in the investigation and medical examination of the case.

The commission's one-month term expired on September 27. According to its registrar, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has approved a request to extend its tenure until October 15, while formal notification of the extension will require approval from the Sindh Cabinet. The commission, headed by Sindh High Court Justice Omar Sial, has currently adjourned proceedings until October 2 to allow completion of statements from remaining witnesses and work on its final report.
