Pakistan, Sept. 28 -- Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry on Sunday explained the reasons behind the recent debate over the possible imposition of Governor's Rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), citing the persistent governance and development failures in the province.

Speaking to a private television channel, the minister alleged that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)-led provincial government had failed to deliver on public welfare and development initiatives over the years.

He said the provincial government was focusing on irrelevant political issues instead of addressing public needs, improving development indicators and ensuring the safety and security of citizens.
