Pakistan, Aug. 10 -- Police in Wana tehsil of Lower South Waziristan have foiled a terrorism plot in Wana's main bazaar by safely defusing a pressure cooker bomb weighing approximately 10 kilograms and arrested a militant. According to police on Sunday, a militant was planting the pressure cooker bomb in Wana Bazaar when a local resident, identified as Bilal, spotted him and fired warning shots to stop him. The suspect attempted to flee, prompting Bilal to immediately alert the police. A police team from Wana City Police Station pursued the suspect and arrested him near Wacha Khwara.
