Pakistan, Sept. 9 -- Miley Cyrus's attempt to reclaim the top of the pop charts has hit an early snag. The 33-year-old's new single Bass Persuades fell off Spotify's Global 200 chart after just two days on it.

The track debuted at No. 23, dropped sharply to No. 123 on day two and disappeared from the chart entirely by day three.

Its performance has looked stronger on other platforms. It currently sits at No. 2 on iTunes in the United States and No. 41 on Apple Music's global top 100 and early predictions have it debuting at No. 13 on the UK's official chart.

Bass Persuades represents a more mainstream pivot for Cyrus following 2025's Something Beautiful, a genre-bending passion project that underwhelmed commercially.
