Pakistan, Aug. 18 -- Meta Platforms is facing a major trial over claims that Facebook and Instagram harm young users. A coalition of 29 US states is bringing the case in California federal court. Opening arguments are scheduled before an eight-member jury in Oakland. The jury will serve in an advisory role, while the judge will make the final decision.
