Pakistan, Oct. 6 -- The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PM&DC) has clarified that Pakistani students seeking admission to medical or dental institutions abroad will no longer be required to pass the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) as a mandatory prerequisite.
According to official sources, as per public notice issued by PM&DC on Monday, the decision was approved by the Council during its meeting held on September 14, 2026.
The notice clarified that passing MDCAT would not be a mandatory requirement for Pakistani students seeking admission to foreign medical and dental institutions, sources added.
